The S&P 500 closed -2.7% lower for the week. Fed policy decisions are overshadowing earnings announcements (which aren't great.) Analysts expect additional 25-basis-point rate hikes from the Fed in March, May and June, which would take the Fed Funds target rate to 5.5%. Higher interest rates pressure valuations, all else equal.
